Modiface Partners with Stila Cosmetics

stilaEarlier today, ModiFace, the largest leading provider of virtual makeover technologies, in partnership with Stila Cosmetics, a world-renowned cosmetics brand, announced that they will launch a fully-automated virtual makeover tool. Together with this launching is the start of the Stila Makeover Contest which only will cater the “Makeup” on iPhone application.

One of the coolest features of this new virtual makeover tool is that it “utilizes ModiFace’s patent-pending facial recognition technology to automatically apply Stila shades and products on user uploaded photos.” Another feature is that the tool also can share options for Facebook and Twitter users. Since these social networking sites have the ability to save any photo, and can be used as full e-commerce integration, allowing the products that are tried on to be directly purchased by the customers.

Orion Hand, the director of marketing and online in Stila Cosmetics said, “Stila is all about keeping beauty modern, easy and fun, so a partnership with ModiFace seemed only natural.” He further explained, “Powered by ModiFace’s unique facial recognition technology, our new web-based Stila Makeover Tool allows our customers to try out hundreds of shades and color combinations in just seconds.”

With the Stila Makeover Contest, anyone can actually join as long as they will use the iPhone application. They will just take their own photo using their iPhone and choose a combination of Stila products to make-up their photo, and submit the final photo during the contest. The winners will be selected and will be given $250 worth of Stila products.
