@jllove1992 you have to remove the shine from your natural nail so that the gel or acrylic would stick onto it otherwise it’d just fall off.
it is risky to use an electric drill on your natural nails as it can always thinnen them to much, they should use a normal, high grit file (like 180 or 240).
If you’re fraid they will ruin your nails tell them to be gentle.

@Ksyusha48 i know, is there any place that doesnt file the nail bed? i thought the whole point of gel nails was to be better and help nails grow???

  3. sweatonme1 says:

Your never to use an Electric file on the actual Nail Bed EVER…State Board will not approve that and damage to the nail plate is caused with an electric File…..

    That was great

    great video!!

  6. MelissaP3008 says:

His gel technique is too thick. He shouldn’t have to sand down his work on the surface after the fact. Sure would be nice to know a guy who did nails though.

  7. chicaparacabas says:

@lovelifetilldeath i THINK because the hair dressers work with hair chemicals like dye and that makes the product he uses on everyone else get gooey and gross…I’m just guessing because once I was dying my hair and my nails got really gross.

why is the camera shot so faaaarrr!!!! n all the different shot whats the need?!

  9. gollyster says:

@susany2k5 You can’t soak gel nails off. They must be filed off. There is a type of gel polish that can be soaked off, but even this is difficult to do. One usually has to file and THEN soak. I do gel nails professionally. I use both the Young nail gels (The guy in the video is the founder of Young nails) and LCN. What he is doing in the video is a full set of gel nails which must be buzzed off to remove. But gel nails definitely don’t harm your natural nails. Hope this helped.

this guy uses too much technical language and its soo much work!

  11. xXsabbath180Xx says:

@leighley1 he may use rubbing alcohol

  12. Blingblong20 says:

it’s expensive, takes to long and I heard it damages your nails! But it’s a beautiful job!

  13. leighley1 says:

what does he use to wipe over the nail once he’s finished geling is it acetone on the wipe ???

  14. lovelifetilldeath says:

why if your applying it to hair dressers use gloss?

    Hi Hotty

What are the benefits of gel vs acrylic. I’ve been doing my own acrylics for a year & I’m sick of the mess, stink & drama. Convert me please!

DONT USE ACYRLIC NAILS PPL USE GEL

  19. lilblackduck says:

@xXxShAexXx Yes u can use acetone but it dries the nail bed out too much. A better way is to get some gelled acrylic remover apply it to your nail let it kind of bubble and gently scrape it off with an orange stick.

  20. lilblackduck says:

@xXxShAexXx pure acetone or get an acrylic gel remover place it on the nail till it kind of bubbles take an orange stick and gently scrape it away and repeat it’s alot quicker and more gentle to the nail bed. Acetone has a way of drying the nail bed out which also strips all the natural oils out of the nail bed.

  21. stachelbeer23 says:

well, I know acrylic produkts wich need uv light. Its a kind of smoother in it and they didnt smell that much :)

  22. stachelbeer23 says:

Did you know anithing about gloves or mouthpiece?
    *wondering*

  23. xXxShAexXx says:

is there any way i can rmeove my gel nails at home? :)

  24. Gillian708 says:

This guy makes putting on gels look badass! I love the hard core music in the background; how many of us would love a man who could do our nails?? When you think about it, what’s the difference between an artist who tattoos you, or one who designs your nails? You’re the man!! Thanks for the video

  25. susany2k5 says:

How would you remove gel? is it the same way as removing acrylic by soaking in acetone?..I know you can buy soak off gels but what about the hard gels? do you really have to file it all off, can’t you soak them too?
